I bought my first Blue Ray. Alien vs Preditor Blue Ray DVD. but if I do on the PS3. it nothing happens. Perfect regular DVD movies play.

If they also play PS3 games, then it is possible that you may not have updated the latest firmware. Make sure that you are aware Fimware.
If the PS3 is not connected to the Internet, then you can download the latest firmware by downloading on the website and PlayStation offficial get on a USB, transfer PS3:)

First, the PS3 games to play? Sometimes the reader will trouble reading the blue ray disk, but have you read DVDs and more PS2 DVD.
My hard drive for some reason, refused a blue ray disc read once, and I wore it and got 3 or 4 times. I switch the PS3 (all the way, turn the camera on the back started), and new and was still on the first try, nothing. The second time, after I had on their farm, no problem there.
A thought just to be sure. It can not start automatically, you will be checking under the tab "Video"? I'm sure they tested with the DVD, but I just wanted to be sure.
Let me know when you remove the abnormal, other than for treatment, or loans to playr rent blue ray disc, the other isolate the problem. Good luck!
Your PS3 is connected to an HDTV via an HDMI cable! If Blu-ray will not play because they are in high definition!
